About me

Jo-Leigh trained as a dancer in London where she pursued her passion for performing. Pilates was a part of her dance training and she used it improve endurance, core strength and flexibility. Transitioning into a Pilates instructor was a simple move. ‘Coming from a dance background I have a great awareness of the body and how it moves.’

Proudest achievement

Proudest achievement so far is transitioning from a dancer into a full time Pilates and Barre Instructor. I lost my devotion to dance and was unhappy, so I sat down and decided to change career, I haven’t looked back since.

Favourite exercise

Functional movement, nothing involving heavy weights! I love training in Pilates, barre, TRX and Yoga.

Least favourite

That's easy, anything involving cardio.

Music Style

I like upbeat and current music in the charts, and I love bit of cheesy 90s classics, and still a Britney fan.

Cheat meal

CHIPS, I love them! I will never allow myself to have them unless I go out for dinner, then I will always order them and in a large.

One thing you can't live without

My staffie dog Riz, he’s nearly 15 years old now so he’s getting old, but seeing his face everyday makes me happy.

2 things people do know about me

I am a massive Man Utd Fan and actually really like Football. I didn’t have much choice growing up with my Dad.

I have an obsession with the colour Green.
